Andy's Auto Rentals has been operating in the Brisbane, Logan City and Gold Coast area for over 15 years and is one of the largest independently owned car hire companies in the Brisbane – Gold Coast corridor. Andys Auto Rentals is an Australian owned company which is run by the people who own it.

Our staff consists of Mike Burtenshaw (director), Kevin Claverie (director), Stacey Wells (Customer relations) and Paul Burtenshaw (Fleet manager).

We offer a large choice of vehicles: Truck Rental, Car Rental, Campervan Rental, Motorbike Rental, Van Rental and Bus Rental anywhere from Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast.



Andy's Auto Rental AU Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2012 and 31-Mar-2013

Deposit
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard (1.75% transaction fee applies).

The balance is payable directly to the supplier on arrival. This supplier accepts all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Diners Club Card. We also accept cash deposits - there are certain criteria to satisfy for cash deposits and we are only to happy to go through those when you contact us on confirmation of your booking. Acceptance of cash deposits is at the supplier's discretion.

Card Authorisations
When you hire a vehicle you are required to leave a deposit equal to the amount of your insurance liability – this amount will depend on what insurance options/reductions you take and this amount will be authorized against your credit card and released once the vehicle has been returned and checked in.

Cancellation Policy
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
Cancellation 20 days+ prior to pick-up date - $30
Cancellation 14 to 20 days prior to pick-up date - $70
Cancellation to 10 days prior to pick-up date - $100
Cancellation less than 4 days prior to pick-up date or No-show -100% of remaining balance amount
There is no refund for late pick up or early return of vehicle.

Driving licence
All current Australian drivers licences, International and overseas licenses in English.

Fuel
It is a condition of hire that the vehicle be returned with the same level of fuel as when the hire commenced to avoid additional charges.

Infringements
Any infringements will be passed onto the hirer of the vehicle plus an additional administration fee of $100.00 will be charged for any Traffic Fines or Parking Infringements. An AUD40.00 administration fee per infringement will be processed for any toll evasions

Non smoking
All vehicles are 'Smoke Free' and if smoking is detected a cleaning fee of $100.00 will be charged

Age requirements
Minimum driving age is 21 years old up to and including 85 years of age. Drivers who are 21–24 years of age incur a higher liability at the rate of $750.00 per incident.

Early Return
24 hours notice must be given prior to returning the vehicle if the vehicle was hired on a standard daily rate. If the rate was a special or negotiated rate then no refund will be available.

Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of Travel Insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.

Rental Period
Hires are based on a 24hr period (unless stated on contract) which begins at the commencement of the rental. If the vehicle is to be returned outside of this, then permission must be granted by a staff member of Andy's Auto Rentals and a fee will be charged if the vehicle is returned 2 hours or more late and that will equal 1 days hire fee.

Maps/Street Directories
Andy’s Auto Rental provides maps/street directories for free but in the event that you do not return it with the vehicle than a $50.00 fee will be charged. A GPS can be hired for a small daily fee.

Vehicle Damage Policy
Condition of vehicle
The vehicle is to be returned in the same condition as when the vehicle was collected. The vehicle is also to be returned to the place, by the date and at the time shown on the face of the contract – additional drop off / pick up or late fees may apply if the vehicle is not returned as per the face of the contract.

If you return the vehicle out of hours or to another destination then the vehicle will be deemed to be returned only when a staff member of Andy’s Auto Rentals takes possession of the keys to the vehicle and as such you will still be responsible for the vehicle until it is deemed to be returned.

Accident Procedure
In the event of an accident the hirer is to notify Andy's Auto Rentals immediately and fill in the accident form in the glove box of the car. Failure to notify us within 24 hrs is a contravention of the terms of the contract and the hirer will be liable for the for the full basic liability of of the vehicle. The hirer must not without Andy's Auto Rentals written consent admit liability, give any promise of payment or settlement.

Insurance
All vehicles come with a standard liability of $3000.00, an optional excess reduction cover can be purchased directly from the supplier on your arrival and the cost of this will depend on the type of vehicle you hire. It is up to the individual if you wish take up this option but do be aware that if the hirer leaves the liability at the $3000.00 level than any accident will mean that the total liability is payable. Please be aware that reducing the liability does not waive or reduce your liability if involved in a single vehicle incident. In the case of an accident involving another vehicle, the hirer will pay the liability outstanding ($3000.00 or reduced if optional cover is secured) regardless of who was at fault. Once the other party admits fault and their insurance company notifies us in writing of their intention to pay the full amount of the liability will then be refunded. In the event of the hirer damaging the vehicle in a single vehicle incident, Andys Auto Rentals will not provide a replacement vehicle nor will it reimburse any monies for the unused portion of the hire.

CDW
You can reduce the excess liability on your vehicle by purchasing the supplier's own excess reduction cover at the counter. Prices are indicated at the time of booking. These policies reduce your excess exposure as follows:

All Cars: $3000 to $300.00
Vans: $2500 to $750.00
8 Seaters: $3000 to $500.00

12 Seaters: $3000 to $750
4WD’s: $3000 to $500.00 (On road Only)

Sports Cars: $5000 to $2000

Mini Cooper: $3000 to $500 (by paying an additional $20.00 per day)

Gold Cover Insurance
Gold Cover is available on all standard cars and 8 seaters only. Gold Cover includes a multi vehicle liability of $300 for cars and $500 for 8 Seaters and also a reduced single vehicle liability down to $300 for cars and $500 for 8 Seaters. Headlight, Windscreen and Tyre protection are also included under this policy. Price for Gold Cover is an additional $7.90 per day on top on the insurance already offered by Andy's Auto Rentals.

Airport service
Andy’s Auto Rentals is an off-Brisbane airport operator. All collections are from Brisbane International Airport. Prior to your arrival in Brisbane the collection procedure for the rental will be emailed to you direct. Andy's Auto Rentals will fix a lock box mechanism to the hire vehicle, inside this device is the key to the hire car. This allows customers to arrive any time of the day or night and hire a vehicle easily. Some conditions apply for the Gold Coast airport so please ask us for more details.

Additional drivers
There is a small fee of $7.50 for additional drivers.

Baby Seats
Baby seats and booster seats are available for hire from Andy's Auto Rentals – but please book well in advance as there is only a limited number.

Breakdown Assistance
All vehicles are covered by 24 hour roadside assistance but do not cover driver neglect e.g. running out of fuel, changing tyres or flat batteries – there is a fee payable of $60.00 if called out for driver neglect.

Rates
All rates are in Australian Dollars. All rates include G.S.T.

Price Changes and Vehicles
All prices and vehicles are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
The quoted rate includes 200 free kilometers per day, additional kilometres will be charged at $0.28 except the 21&25 seat buses which are $0.33 for each km.

Vehicles
Vehicles are catergorised into groups and within each group could be several models of vehicle. While every effort is made to comply with the customer's requests it is not always possible to provide the exact model requested but a similar vehicle from the same group may be supplied.

Vehicle Use
The vehicle is to be only used on sealed roads unless otherwise stated on your contract. The vehicles are not allowed to go into the Northern Territory, Western Australia or Tasmania.

3rd Party Credit Cards
If you wish for another party to use their credit card for payment/authorization purposes, this can be arranged by Andy's Auto Rentals. Please contact the office and talk to one of our staff who will happily arrange this for you.

Terms of booking on this website

Information disclaimer
The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
